Iowa Engraving, LLC is a family-built business owned and operated by Landon and Melissa Feisel. What began in 2020 as a simple idea — sandblasting custom stones from their shop or the “back-of-the-pickup” setup — has grown into a full-service engraving operation serving customers across Iowa and beyond.

In 2021, the Feisels expanded with a mobile engraving trailer, bringing on-site engraving directly to homes, farms, schools, businesses, and community projects. In 2024, they invested in a laser engraver to offer even more detailed, precise, and customizable work.

Landon operates and maintains all of the engraving equipment — from sandblasters and compressors to the laser system. He’s the one doing all the heavy, dirty work that comes with it. With a strong technical background, he handles everything from routine adjustments to the occasional mid-project “MacGyver fix” when a hose, motor, or valve decides to misbehave.

Melissa leads the marketing, design work, social media, scheduling, and moral support on every project. With an eye for detail and visual balance, she helps make sure every stone looks just right before it’s ever engraved. If you spot the Iowa Engraving trailer rolling across Iowa, there’s a good chance she’s the one behind the wheel.

Iowa Engraving proudly remains a nights-and-weekends operation. Landon and Melissa both work full-time jobs and spend many evenings cheering on their three kids at school and sporting events — which means most engraving happens after the school bell rings and the stadium lights go dark. The kids even pitch in from time to time, making Iowa Engraving truly a family effort.

Over the years, the Feisels have engraved hundreds of stones and built lasting connections with customers along the way. Their work can be found in every corner of Iowa and across state lines — including Missouri, Nebraska, Illinois, Minnesota, Kansas, and Wyoming - one even traveled to Ireland!
